Group Project Brainstorming
10/02/2021
In class today we ended up covering everyones different ideas for what the class project could possibly be, some of the concepts I ended up really liking were:
-Animated Music video with different artstyles and mixed media.
- Locked in trunk idea but choose your own adventure,
trying to remember how they got there/how to escape/ what will happen to them when they get out
-Not depressing
I paired up with Sarah and we started brainstorming about a choose your own adventure style project, maybe focusing on horror, mystery and dark comedy?
for the Pitch we should probably come up with
-logline
-concept art?
-medium
At the moment we think it could work as a youtube choose your own adventure, a comic or motion comic or maybe making it into an actual game, which I feel could kinda work like a visual novel, which usually has alternative endings/routes anyways.
Another cool aspect we discussed was making it a horror but from the perspective of the monster
-choose your own adventure but choices reflect on if you are bad or good
-outcomes could be bad guy, good guy, victim etc
-Mixed media, different paths are different artstyles or mediums
-setting is haunted house/garden/maze/abandoned area

Yesterday we set up a PowerPoint presentation so we could present our pitch in a visual format as we feel this might be a more engaging way of showing people the concept
to go with this I also wanted to make some concept art giving a general mood/feeling to what the project might be. I am also thinking of maybe putting together a small mood board into different aesthetics or influences that may be similar to what we would be trying to achieve.
Concept art sketch
I feel like with more solid influences and maybe a moodboard I could start going in a more specific direction with the concept art, but as its just a pitch at the moment I dont wanna put too much effort into something that might not get picked up. The concept art took a little over an hour to do, and I feel it works well to give a quick idea of the setting of the project at least.
