Alternative cover

for an alternative cover design Idea I wanted to do something semi-apocalyptic to represent some aspects of the year 2020. I ended up going with a girl with a gas mask walking through some kind of irradiated desert scene

I wanted the focal point of the image to be the girl and the moon, so I tried drawing elements like clouds and dust to guide the eye. I ended up changing the outfit and pose slightly to make it clearer that she was walking towards the viewer instead of standing in a static pose.

Overall I was pretty pleased with the result considering the time constraints I had, I would have liked to do a more detailed background but I wanted to give myself enough time to colour and shade the piece.
