Dream Job

What I want to do/ What my job description would be? 

-2D Animation, Character design, costume design, Concept Art, Background design, Merchandise design.   

-I would like to be in a studio that works on 2D Animation or stop motion animation as a main income and have an online independent store where I can sell merchandise like Enamel Pins, Acrylic keychains, prints, Shirts, badges, stickers etc. I also wouldn’t mind a career involving illustration/graphic novels/comics or something similar. 

-I think animating music videos would be quite fun as you would have the option to explore different moods, mediums and art styles, have shorter projects to work on, and have already established moods, music, lyrical themes and a set timeframe to work with. 

  

What I want to learn? 
-More 2D animation and storyboarding skills. 
-Effect animation   
-Compositing 
-Digital Painting and Concept art  
-Visual research and studies  
-Illustration 
-Advertising 

 

 What I don’t want to do 
- I would prefer not to do the scriptwriting / sound mixing side of animated works as I find these tasks the least fun in the creative process.  
- 3D animation/modelling until I gain more skills and feel more confident in my abilities. 
- Caricatures / gross out / ugly looking art styles.
