Finalising soundscape and Running Late
Today I worked on the final touches for both my audio soundscape and ADR/Foley?music replacement for the main clip. ADR was the main thing I focused on as I synced up the audio last night and worked on the equalizing and reverb today. After that I went through everything and made small tweaks here and there. I found using the original audio was helpful in syncing up sounds, but I didn't end up using any of the original audio in the final exported video.
Throughout the process of editing the audio I mostly used the Parametric equalizer and studio reverb to help the sound effects fit better within the environment. I also made use of muting and changing volume levels on a handful of shots, as well as pitch shifting and slowing down/speeding up clips when necessary. I was cautious doing this though because I didn't want to distort the audio too much, as I fell that would make it seem out of place with the rest of the audio.
Overall I feel much more confident about using Adobe Premiere after doing this audio replacement, and I feel like taking on the group project will be a bit easier now that I have a good feel for the basics and some shortcuts for the software.
