Comic Covers: Thumbnails to Sketch
In the end I decided to go with both thumbnails I had sketched out earlier because I was really happy with the layout and composition. even though I tweaked it a little bit in the sketching stage. I had to alter both to fit the correct dimension as when I sketched the thumbnails they were just in rough rectangles. I did this by cutting out the top of the image and dragging it up, then filling the background details in roughly.  In my sketch I wanted to get really detailed with the scrap metal and junk Android 09 is sitting on, so I could go right from the sketch into inking. I also built up the edges of the trash pile to balance the image out a bit more as I felt the far left and right felt empty. I'm really happy with how this one turned out and I am looking forward to the inking and colouring process. I intend for this to make up the back cover of the comic.
I really liked the layout of this cover as it contained all of the major characters in the comic as well as the setting it takes place in. This is a convention used by Kohei Horikoshi in his series My Hero Academia, which was an inspiration for the layout choices. I wanted to again, put more detail into the background and get the sketch ready for inking, so I added details like the extra pipes, as well as a more finished sketch of the facility. I also tweaked the poses of the characters slightly to get a better balanced and a more dynamic image
