Hand painted totes
While I have looked around a few stores for fabric paint I havent found anything other than puffpaint, which I want really looking for, however Posca Pens do work on fabric, specifically cotton, which is what I am using. I also have a small selection at home so I will only have to purchase a plain tote bag. This will create a permanent illustration on the tote bag, so I think this metthod will be quite effective, especially with the simplistic cell shaded Illustration that I decided to go with for the machine printed tote.

Before I can start I will need to put the bag through the wash to get rid of any chemicals to make sure the Posca pen sticks correctly. then I will need to sketch out the design at the correct size. I might end up printing out an outline and tracing it to make it accurate as possible. After that I will start on the flat colours, when move onto the shaded tones before finishing with the black outlines. Once this is done I will wait for the paint to dry, before flipping the bag inside out and Ironing the bag to seal the paint, as instructed on the Posca website. I have had several years experience with painting at highschool so I hope I am able to create a clean finished product.
