3D animatic and hand modelling


So far I have managed to complete 3 shots out of my 3D animatic. I spentmost of the morning setting up all of the props and environments I would need for the animatic. After that I thought about camera movement and placement within the scene. I used my storyboards to line things up as best as I could.


This afternoon we worked on the model for our characters hands. We first started with the finger, which we then duplicated into the other fingers before finally combining them with the palm of the hand

I found it really interesting in how different polygons are meshed together with the merge tool, as I was curious as to how that would be done. I also enjoyed sculpting out the hand to transform it from a boxy figure to something that looks somewhat realistic. I've found modelling 3D stuff to be really fun, and something I want to practice more so I can get the hang of all the tools and menus. I'm feeling pretty confident in what I have so far for my animation.
