Rendered Full body illustration and Colour Palette
I first started off with a sketch. I wanted to show off a bit of her personality without obscuring too much of her costume so I went for a small stretch that shows off her features without being too boring.
Next I went over my sketch using the brush pen to fill in all the details with flat colours.
after that was done, using the lasso tool I masked out the areas I wanted to have shading, as I wanted the lines to be very crisp. after this was done I used a paint bucket tool to fill in the selected areas, then clipped the layer to the flats below and set the layer to multiply
I did this same process with the highlights, however instead of a multiply layer I turned it into a hard light layer. After this step the illustration was complete
I plan to use this piece in my development board as I feel it replicates the style I want to achieve in 3D, but still feels accurate to the character when I first developed her through sketches and developmental drawings.
