Think and Create rough passes

The movement has been a difficult thing to get right as each try has to be rendered out and its a bit hard to tell what the final movie will look like in the workspace view. Looking at the first pass this is pretty clear to see. Keeping all of the layers together proved to be very difficult, so the keyframes had to be restarted several times.

The second pass I tried keeping the layers together, but the different sections would move at a different speed when zooming in. I felt like this was pretty clunky, so I tried tweaking it here and there but I still wasnt all that happy with it

This video I had made small adjustments, but the timing still feels off. This lead me to retry with a different method. Instead of multiple keyframes I would just add a start and end point. this means I would have slightly less control over the movement, but the end result would look smooth and polished

I also wanted a gap so people could look at the full picture before the movement began, but this technique definitely had a more satisfying result. I still had a small issue with the easing out at the end as I felt it was too sudden

Even using the ease in/ease out setting on toon boom I wasnt that happy with how sudden the stop felt at the end, So I added another set of keyframes and moved those to the final position, then went back and moved the keyframes at frame 450 to help ease the movement out a bit more

The result of this was a bit more satisfying, as it allowed those extra seconds to just slow down the movement and to leave the shot at a standstill. I think I might extend the static start and end of the scene a bit more just as I feel that'll work better and wont make the video end too quickly.
