Part of our stopmotion had a scene where the dad throws the glass. to achieve this we had to use a wire to allow the object to stay in focus and floating.
In total we had 3 frames where the glass is being thrown. I was tasked with masking these shots in photoshop so the wire could not be seen when the movie was played.
I managed to mask these images with the use of two different tools in photoshop: the spot healing brush and the clone stamp tool. some bits of the background like the fish tank were a bit hard to mask over as it had lots of different shades, colours and values, but through trial and error I managed to get it done.
Overall I'm pretty happy with how these shots turned out, the masking worked really well and I think this scene will add a really cool element to the stop motion project.
