Research progress Report
Back in week 7 we created a Planner to help schedule out what needed to be done roughly in order to make sure we were all keeping on track to finish by the end of the semester. From week 7 I was planning out my piece by looking through what techniques and tools I would be using.

One way I did this was through experimenting with levels and values and then introducing colour using multiply layers. I also looked into the various different brush types that were used in Concept art to create the signature look with textures, blending and shapes that make concept artwork really distinctive from other styles.

According to my schedule I was hoping to be almost finished my layers in Photoshop and move on to putting together the motion side of the project. While I still have a few layers to colour I think if I dedicate more time on my project this week I will be ready to work on putting the motion aspect in the animatic.
Week 17
I put together my layout, values and textures of the shot that I wanted, with different assets on separate layers to allow the camera to zoom through

Here you can see The black and white detail and texture created on the foreground tree layer.
I then used a hard light layer to introduce shading and light effects.
Here the same process can be seen on several other layers. I hope to have the rest finished in time for next week so I can start working on the motion aspect of the animatic
