Nature Thumbnail sketch and Values

Over the past week I have been looking more into nature based concept art and created a mock up for what I want my nature animatic to look like. I took advice on using perspective, values, composition and the thumbnailing process from youtube channel Rossdraws, with his Mastercourse focusing on Landscapes. I plan to incorperate texture, colour and lighting in the final piece, but composition wise I found his video very useful.
Today in class we went over some good tips that other people with a similar workflow might use to help keep on top of projects.

-Be conscious of why you are doing what you're doing as this will keep you focused about your creative endeavors.
Several ways of making sure you can keep on track of your artwork are to
-Keep on track of deadlines and dates when things are due. This can be managed well by dividing tasks into how much work you need to do on them each week and when you will work on them.
-Prune back some of the unnecessary activities that take up time. Some things might just be spending less time on.
-Create different steps in the creative process and work on it gradually.
-Allocate an appropriate amount of time for each step of the process. Parkinson's Law states that if you give yourself a week to do a day long task it will likely take you a week to do. Tasks will expand to fill the space you give for it.
-Plan your workload at the start of your breaks. Create a daily plan of what tasks need to be done and what tasks are the most important. Adding a done list can also help with motivation.
-Complete the most demanding tasks first and leave the fun or easier tasks for last.
-schedule Regular breaks between tasks.
-try to have work finished before the deadline.
-Learn to say no.
-Find inspiration when you're feeling unmotivated. This can be TedTalks, Youtube videos, Art, Music etc.
