Stopmotion Animatic

Over the weekend I created 34 seconds worth of animatic for our stop motion project. I was tasked with creating the 2D side of the animatic, but we decided to divide the work into sound effects & music, 2D animatic and 3D animatic. Veronica was in charge of the Sound, but isn't here today so I'm hoping to be able to get the sound and music from her tomorrow where we can discuss where everything is going. I dont mind putting together the different parts of the animatic over the weekend.

I quickly added together a rough draft of the music. I think a few sound effects could really add to the scenes but we'll need to discuss that as a group tomorrow.

Veronica had selected some music tracks for the different parts of the animatic from purple planet. I'm ended up using a combination of Eternal Hope for the dreamy dart of the 2D animatic, 'Nightmares' and 'Stalking the prey' for the nightmare parts and 'Evil Around' for aspects of the build up in the animatic.


Because we are working in a group of 3 If the movie is a bit over 1 minute I feel like we'll be able to manage it still. Because were also working with both 2D and 3D we will be able to work on creating the two lots of characters and sets at the same time in preparation of making the stop motion animation. So far my animatic is 34 seconds but that may change depending on if we want to change the timing of shots or add in a few more etc.
