Arm Rigging and animation
Today we spent the day learning to rig aspects of characters in Toon Boom harmony using the node view. By creating parent nodes for the assets hierarchies can be created, allowing different parts of the model to stay together when being animated. We also had to make sure that the joints of the pieces would be in the correct place which was done using the rotate tool in the advanced animation tab.
We then animated the rig using key frame animation and made use of some of the principles of animation such as ease in and ease out, follow through, drag etc.
