In Design
For part of the project we had to layout our digital works in a book format using In Design. I have a bit of experience from using it last year to design my schools yearbook, but it was nice to make something more personal. I made sure that the photos and drawings I wanted stayed within the bleed lines and borders of the page so the file wouldn't misprint or have weird cut offs
For pages like with the kaleidoscopes I wanted to create a sense of unity between the two pages since there was a lot of empty space with the square design of the kaleidoscope. I noticed a common pink blue colour scheme across my design so I tried incorporating that as a may to fill up the page. A lot of the pages I made had the image taking up the whole page because I wanted my work to be easy to look at, so a lot of the pages didn't require a lot of graphic design needed. Also knowing my work would eventually be printed in an A5 size booklet, I made sure my Digital paintings were the right ratio so I would not have to crop or lose any of my work.
