Digital Paintings
This week I continued working on my digital paintings. The one I was working on was the fifth painting so far. I really wanted to create a somewhat symmetrical piece because a lot of photography and architectural design in dead malls is symmetry. I also really wanted to use some of the colours found frequently in malls so went with a pink tone for the piece. Two point perspective was also used to help give the picture a sense of depth.
I also wanted to try use a line less style, much like the artist model I used in my proposal, Sylvain Sarrailh. I did this by painting under my sketch layer, that was set to multiply so I could see underneath. After that I went through with multiply layers to shade the artwork and give it more depth. I may add more details and signs of wear before I finish it.
