Corel Painter & Kaleidoscopes
We had our first lesson with Corel painter, which we will be using to make our kaleidoscope drawings for our project. A lot of the brushes are more accurate to how the medium would work in real life, which was cool to mess around with. At first I just experimented with some of the brushes before moving onto some of the prompts. One was to draw something representing an element using an analogous colour scheme so I ended up painting a flame like spirit using red, orange and yellow. I then messed around with the mirror tool to make a coffee themed kaleidoscope, as well as a split complementary colour themed one. I then created a kaleidoscope relating to my topic theme, which is Dead/abandoned malls.
