Photoshop layer types

In digital we learned about different types of Photoshop layers, as well as layer management and clipping masks. The way that I usually draw digitally uses different layer types and clipping masks so I was already quite familiar with a lot of the features that Photoshop has to offer. In terms of art, I usually start with a sketch layer, which I then ink on a layer above the sketch. after that I colour the drawing using a layer below the line art layer. I also make sure to name my layers so they don't get confusing, as well as using the folder system If the drawing is complicated.

after that I usually shade with a multiply layer and I create a clipping mask above the flat colours but below the line art. I do the same with the lighting layer, which I usually use a Hard Light layer and clipping mask for.
