Dream warrior Animatic Script

"DREAM WARRIOR"

FADE IN:
INT. OFFICE BUILDING - MORNING
A computer sits on a desk in an office cubicle. The lighting and clock indicates it is 10 AM. DEEDEE WEST is a young-looking office assistant. she wears smart clothing and is sitting behind the screen. Deedee is called away, she stands from her desk and walks over to another worker.
INT. OFFICE BUILDING – LATER – SERIES OF SHOTS
Deedee delivering coffee. The clock now shows it is lunch time.
Deedee walking, forgetting something and turning back around. The clock now shows it is midafternoon. The lighting of the office is beginning to darken
Deedee carrying sheets of paper. The clock shows it is almost time to leave. The room is lit by orange sunlight from the sunset.
Deedee collects her bag and begins to leave. As she is walking Deedee yawns, stretches and rubs her eyes. Deedee presses the elevator button and notices a poster.

ON POSTER
Dreamcorp logo. A tired worker is shown looking sad in bed. The text reads: Do you struggle with tiredness and work stress? A website is listed at the bottom.
The elevator DINGS and Deedee draws her attention away from the poster. She walks into the elevator and the doors close behind her.

INT. CORRIDOR – NIGHT
Deedee opens the door to her apartment with a CLICK, and steps inside. She drops her bag lazily on the ground and kicks her shoes off, before walking to her room.
INT. BEDROOM - NIGHT
Deedee is now in pajamas and jumps onto her bed. Her alarm clock reads 10:17pm. She turns of her bedside lamp and lies on top of her covers. She is still for a while but begins to get restless.
MONTAGE
Deedee lies with her limbs spread out. Deedee lies sideways on the bed with her legs resting on the wall. Deedee hangs off half of the bed before falling on the ground. Deedee wraps herself up in a blanket burrito. Deedee attempts to exercise but her arms collapse after one push up. Deedee is back sitting on her bed, with blankets and pillows strewn around the room.
The alarm clock reads 2:04 AM. Deedee looks surprised as she suddenly remembers the poster. She pulls out her phone and punches in the address. The website pops up and the same drawing, logo and text can be seen. A pop up appears and has the terms and conditions. The message is ineligible except the last sentence

TEXT: By clicking accept you will be permanently bound as a combatant until your debt has been paid.

Deedee hits the button without looking and a bright light emerges from the phones screen. Deedee and the phone begin to levitate until a white form of Deedee is sucked into the phone. The phone and Deedees body fall back onto the bed, but Deedee is now asleep, the phone is no longer glowing.

EXT. GALAXY VOID - NIGHT
Deedee begins to fall through space. Her clothes are glowing a bright white, and her pajamas begin to transform into fantasy inspired clothing. Her hair turns into a vibrant shade of blue, and a sword made from clouds forms in her hand. As her transformation completes the void becomes lighter and her descent slows. She lands softly on the ground in a cool pose, but quickly loses balance and falls over.

EXT. FLOATING ISLANDS – NOON
A scroll falls from the sky, and hits Deedee on the head. She picks it up off the ground and reads it silently.
SCROLL: Thank you for your service as Dream Warrior.
Worry not! Your physical body is safe and resting, in exchange you must fight off the nightmares to ensure other Dreamcorp patrons are not interrupted from their sleep. Your training starts now. Good luck.
As Deedee finishes reading she is interrupted by a GROWL. Deedee looks around to see black animal like monsters on the island approaching. Deedee drops the contract and pulls out her sword to prepare for battle. The creatures leap forward, Deedee holds her stance.
